"Anglo
Dutch Best Bitter " - (3.8%ABV)
|
Malty
brew with a citrus afterbite
A real Northern session brew |
|
|
"Imperial
Pint " - (4.0%ABV) |
A
darkish, traditional, no-thrills bitter.
British identity, stubbornness and the 'Full Monty' attitude, have
of course made sure that real ale still exists despite multi-national
button-pushing brewers. |
|
|
"Kletswater"
- (4.0%ABV)
One of Roger Protz' Top
Ten Micro Brews
(Guardian April 2002) |
 |
A
slightly coloured full-session bitter - not too heavily hopped.
Kletswater is Dutch for Waffle Water (to talk endlessly - to 'whitter'
on)
One of the original Anglo Dutch brews. |
|
|
"Spike's
on t'Way" - (4.2%ABV)
|
 |
A
pale, lager malt bitter.
First brewed when the brewer's wife was officially confirmed to
be pregnant with their second child. As they disagree about everything,
agreeing on a name was quite an accomplishment - (luckily it was
a boy!) |
|
|
"Ghost on the
Rim" - (4.5%ABV)
|
A
pale, full-bodied bitter with a citrus finish.
One of the original Anglo Dutch brews and start of the Ghost series
- "now you have one... now you don't"! |
 |
"At
t'Ghoul & Ghost"
- (5.2%ABV)
Bronze Medal Winner - Strong Bitters
(Yorkshire Championship 2002) |
 |
A
pale, full-bodied bitter with a citrus finish.
Basically a strong version of Ghost on the Rim, but less hoppy.
Another member of the Ghost family |
 |
"Tabatha
the Knackered" - (6.0%ABV)
Beer of the Festival
(Huddersfield 2001) |
 |
Very
pale, Belgian style tripel beer with a hint of coriander.
As the brewer, Paul, has two beers named after his kids, Mike, the
other partner in the brewery, wanted a beer named after his cat. |
